Position Summary

The Technical Expert - Monitoring & Evaluation (Nutrition) will provide technical guidance and quality assurance support for monitoring and evaluation activities related to nutrition programme interventions. The role requires strong expertise in nutrition programming, survey design, data collection methodologies, data analysis, and reporting. The expert will support evidence generation, validate programme results, and contribute to high-quality monitoring outputs to inform programme decision-making and accountability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Development Studies, Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and reporting of nutrition and health programmes for multilateral or bilateral organizations and NGOs; experience working with a UN agency is desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of acute malnutrition treatment (SAM/MAM), MUAC screening, nutrition surveillance (SENS surveys), and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counselling in camp settings.
• Fluency in English is desirable.
• Strong expertise in developing M&E frameworks, survey design, data collection tools, sampling methodologies, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• Proven experience using Excel, SPSS, Kobo/ODK, STATA, ArcGIS/QGIS, and other relevant data management and analysis tools.
• Demonstrated experience working in the Rohingya response context is mandatory.
