Job Description:

Position: Partnership Manager
Location: Dhaka, with frequent travel to project regions (Mymensingh, Khulna, Satkhira, Jessore)
Type: Full-time, Project-based

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Onboarding: Identify, engage, and onboard key stakeholders, including insurers, government agencies, fisheries cooperatives, and other relevant entities.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their active participation and commitment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Act as a liaison between the project team and stakeholders, facilitating smooth communication and resolving issues promptly.
  • Event Organization: Coordinate and manage stakeholder meetings, workshops, and other events to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of stakeholder interactions and provide regular updates to the project team and partners.
  • Market Linkages: Identify and establish partnerships with local and regional market actors to support the scalability and sustainability of the microinsurance model.
  • Travel: Conduct regular visits to project regions to meet stakeholders, monitor progress, and oversee project activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement, or project coordination, preferably in development or financial inclusion projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with government bodies, financial institutions, or community organizations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the fisheries or agriculture sector is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to project regions.

Location: Khulna, with frequent field visits to Dhaka, Mymensingh, Satkhira, Jessore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Farmer Onboarding: Lead the identification, selection, and enrollment of fish farmers in the microinsurance program, ensuring inclusivity and adherence to project goals.
  • Field Implementation: Manage field-level operations, including data collection, product awareness campaigns, and farmer training sessions.
  • Capacity Building: Collaborate with partners to train farmers and local stakeholders on the benefits and usage of the microinsurance product, addressing queries and concerns to ensure understanding and buy-in.
  • Community Engagement: Foster trust and relationships with local communities, cooperatives, and relevant field actors to support smooth implementation.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly track and document onboarding progress, including participant feedback, challenges, and success stories, and provide updates to the project team.
  • Problem-Solving: Address field-level challenges promptly, escalating complex issues to the project team as necessary.
  • Travel: Conduct frequent field visits to project sites to oversee activities, provide guidance to field teams, and ensure compliance with project timelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Aquaculture, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in field-level project implementation, preferably in development or financial inclusion projects.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience working with rural communities, particularly in fisheries or agriculture sectors, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in local languages of the project regions is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.

  • Team Supervision: Lead and support field staff, providing guidance and resolving on-ground challenges to maintain productivity and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local cooperatives, community leaders, and relevant authorities to facilitate field operations.
  • Activity Monitoring: Track progress against field targets, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Data Management: Oversee the collection and verification of field data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the central project team.
  • Awareness Campaigns: Facilitate community engagement events and awareness campaigns to educate farmers on the microinsurance product and its benefits.
  • Field Reports: Prepare and submit regular updates, detailing progress, challenges, and lessons learned from the field.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma qualified or higher.
  • 1-2 years of experience in field management or community-based project implementation. Experience working in the insurance sector or in NGOs/MFIs is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse community stakeholders.
  • Experience in the fisheries or agriculture sector is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with local languages and cultural contexts of the project regions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively to field sites.
  • Needs to have a bike.
