Reports to: Portfolio Manager, Inclusive Financial Solutions (IFS)
Location: Head Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Position Summary
The Senior Associate/Associate – Inclusive Financial Solutions (IFS) will support the design, execution, and delivery of proposal development, research, technical assistance, and project management assignments focused on financial inclusion, MSME finance, digital financial services, microinsurance, and sustainable & green finance.
The role requires a strong analytical foundation and experience in the financial or banking sector, hands-on experience with quantitative and qualitative research, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for financial institutions, development partners, and policymakers. The position may require travel to project locations to engage with stakeholders and beneficiaries.
The Senior Associate/Associate should also be familiar with the consulting sector and ideally possess a network of existing or potential clients within the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Client Engagement
- Support identification of new business opportunities within financial inclusion, MSME finance, digital finance, microinsurance, and sustainable & green finance.
- Work under minimal supervision in proposal development including methodology design, sampling strategies, budgeting, work planning, and technical narratives.
- Assist and/or take lead in preparing concept notes on designing commercially feasible projects/programs.
- Assist and/or take lead in preparing financial products and services for pitching to financial institutions. These products/services can include microinsurance, sustainable & green finance, SME financing, credit instruments, etc.
- Participate in meetings, consultations, and knowledge-sharing forums representing Innovision.
2. Research, Data Collection, and Analysis
- Design and implement quantitative and qualitative research including market diagnostics, household and enterprise surveys, formative research, and case studies related to financial inclusion.
- Develop robust sampling strategies for both primary quantitative surveys and qualitative inquiries.
- Conduct secondary research on financial sector policies, regulatory frameworks, market trends, and global best practices, as required by clients.
- Travel to project locations to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Support and supervise field data collection, including enumerator training, quality assurance, and stakeholder interviews.
- Ensure data quality through validation, cleaning, and documentation processes.
- Analyze data using appropriate statistical and analytical tools and interpret findings through financial inclusion, gender, and sustainability lenses.
- Contribute to drafting research reports, policy notes, technical briefs, and donor-facing knowledge products.
3. Project Implementation and Delivery
- Support day-to-day project coordination, timeline tracking, and milestone delivery.
- Assist in documentation for inception reports, progress reports, and final deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure timely and high-quality outputs.
- Ensure that project activities entail highest client satisfaction.
4. Knowledge Management
- Maintain and update internal databases of proposals, project documents, research tools, and client references.
- Support institutional learning by documenting methodologies, tools, and lessons from IFS assignments.
- Contribute to improving internal systems for future bidding and portfolio development.
5. Communications and Thought Leadership Support
- Support development of content related to inclusive finance, MSME finance, digital finance, microinsurance, sustainable & green finance for external communication platforms.
- Contribute short analytical write-ups on emerging trends, policy developments, and market insights in financial inclusion.
- Assist in aligning research outputs with Innovision’s broader communication and visibility strategy.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Business, or other closely related disciplines from a reputed institution.
Experience and Skills
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in research, consulting, or development projects related to financial inclusion, MSMEs, or economic development. Alternatively, prior experience of at least 3 years in the banking or financial sector is highly preferred as well.
- Strong professional writing skills in both English and Bangla.
- Practical experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Python and Tabluea/PowerBI.
- Hands-on experience with statistical and analytical tools such as SPSS, STATA, R, or Python.
- Ability to propose and develop concept notes related to the financial sector and financial products/services.
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally for project execution, or as required by clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage project/s, and meet tight deadlines.
- Prior networks with financial institutions, development partners, or policy stakeholders will be considered an advantage.

A market-competitive remuneration package will be offered to the selected candidate. Remuneration can be negotiated based on the year and relevance of prior experience, as well as access to the client base.
