Location: Head Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Type: Full-time
Position Summary
Innovision’s Inclusive Financial Solutions (IFS) portfolio works with financial institutions, development partners, and private sector stakeholders to expand access to financial services and strengthen financial markets. The portfolio focuses on areas such as MSME finance, digital financial services, microinsurance, and sustainable and green finance.
The Intern will support and independently contribute to research, proposal development, client communication, and project implementation under the IFS portfolio. The role requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work with datasets and research outputs. Interns will gain practical exposure to financial sector research, financial product development, and project delivery within a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Client Engagement
- Support the identification of new business opportunities related to financial inclusion, MSME finance, digital financial services, microinsurance, and sustainable and green finance.
- Assist in proposal development, including methodology design, sampling strategies, budgeting, work planning, and drafting technical narratives.
- Support preparation of concept notes and background materials for new assignments.
- Assist in developing financial products and services for financial institutions, including microinsurance, SME financing instruments, and sustainable finance products.
- Participate in meetings, consultations, and knowledge-sharing forums when required.
Research, Data Collection, and Analysis
- Support quantitative and qualitative research activities, including market diagnostics, enterprise surveys, formative research, and case studies related to financial inclusion.
- Conduct secondary research on financial sector policies, regulatory frameworks, market trends, and global best practices.
- Clean, organise, and validate datasets using Excel, Google Sheets, and related tools.
- Support data analysis and summarise findings for reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
- Contribute to drafting research reports, policy notes, technical briefs, and analytical outputs for clients and development partners.
Project Implementation Support
- Assist in day-to-day project coordination, timeline tracking, and milestone monitoring.
- Support preparation of project documentation including inception reports, progress reports, meeting minutes, and final deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients to ensure timely delivery of outputs.
Communications and Knowledge Support
- Support the development of content related to financial inclusion, MSME finance, digital financial services, microinsurance, and sustainable finance for external communication platforms.
- Contribute short analytical write-ups on emerging trends, policy developments, and market insights related to financial inclusion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree completed or final-year student in Economics, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputed institution in Bangladesh.
- Strong interest in financial inclusion, MSME finance, digital financial services, or financial sector development.
- Prior exposure to research, surveys, or data-related work is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
- Comfort and professionalism in communicating with clients and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
- Good analytical and data-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Python, Tableau, or PowerBI is preferred.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- High level of dedication, professionalism, and accountability.
- Willingness to learn and work in fast-paced project environments.
Additional Requirements (Not Mandatory)
- Previous internship or work experience in research, consulting, financial institutions, NGOs, or development projects.
- Exposure to financial inclusion, MSME finance, digital finance, microinsurance, or sustainable finance.
- Experience using qualitative or quantitative research tools.

Upon successful completion of the 3-month internship period, interns may be absorbed into the core team as Junior Associates, subject to performance evaluation and recommendation of the Portfolio Manager.
