Innovision Consulting is seeking a curious, proactive, and analytically driven Intern to support its Economic Growth portfolio. The role offers hands-on exposure to development consulting, including research, data gathering, stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and knowledge product development. The Intern will work alongside experienced professionals across live assignments and gain practical insight into how development projects move from research and ideas to implementation and impact.

Job Description

Position Title: Intern – Economic Growth Portfolio

Reports to: Portfolio Manager, Economic Growth Portfolio
Location: Head Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Type: Full-time

Duration: 3 months, with further consideration based on performance

Position Summary

Innovision’s Economic Growth portfolio works across development challenges related to businesses, markets, institutions, and inclusive economic growth.

The Intern will support and independently contribute to research, project documentation, stakeholder engagement, coordination, and event management across a range of consulting assignments. The role requires curiosity, strong research and writing ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of new tasks as projects evolve. Interns will gain practical exposure to the different aspects of development consulting while contributing to live projects.

Key Responsibilities

Research and Knowledge Development

  • Conduct background research on economic, social, and development issues.
  • Support literature reviews, desk research, and data gathering for project assignments.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, knowledge products, and other analytical outputs.
  • Contribute to the development of concept notes, reports, and other project documents.

Stakeholder Engagement and Project Support

  • Support stakeholder mapping, communication, and coordination.
  • Assist with project meetings, consultations, workshops, and other stakeholder engagements.
  • Support day-to-day project coordination and documentation.
  • Contribute to project activities and take on new responsibilities as assignments evolve.

Event and Communication Support

  • Assist in organising workshops, consultations, meetings, and other project events.
  • Support preparation of event materials, presentations, and related documentation.
  • Contribute to communication and knowledge-sharing activities as required.

Qualifications

  • University graduate or Master’s student, preferably from Economics, Business, Development Studies, Environmental Studies, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in development, economic growth, and how businesses, markets, and institutions can contribute to inclusive growth.
  • Prior exposure to research, writing, or project-based work is preferred.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Curiosity, proactiveness, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced consulting environment and take on new tasks as projects evolve.

Additional Requirements (Not Mandatory)

  • Previous internship or work experience in consulting, research, development projects, NGOs, private sector organisations, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting workshops, consultations, events, or stakeholder engagements.
  • Familiarity with research methods, literature reviews, or knowledge product development.
