Omair has over 10 years of experience in managing public health programs in Nigeria and South-East Asia, at organizations including CHAI and Vital Strategies, across the immunization, civil registration & vital statistics, and maternal & newborn health sectors. He has also worked in economic development, managing a £32 million FCDO-funded programme to provide skills acquisition and job opportunities to marginalized youth in 3 states in Northern Nigeria. Early in his career, he worked in the pharmaceutical sector, where he developed forecasts for clients’ pipeline products, primarily for oncology treatments. Omair holds a BA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, MPhil in Chinese Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a joint MBA-MPH from UC Berkeley.
