Muhammad Shaheduzzaman is working as the Practice Area Lead for the Industrial Productivity and Workers’ Well Being Portfolio at Innovision Consulting Private Limied. He is a specialist in industrial productivity, occupational health and safety, and workers’ well-being. He has over 20 years of professional experience working with more than 20 public, private, and development sector organisations in the Ready-made Garments (RMG) industry and supply chain. The organisations that he has worked with include the Ministry of Labour and Employment of Bangladesh, GIZ, UNCDF, GFEMS, BGMEA, BKMEA, Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety (NIRAPON), ETI Bangladesh, ActionAid Bangladesh and Save the Children, along with various private sector companies including Fast Retailing Company (UNIQLO), s.Oliver, MBM Group, Chaity Group, Vision Wears Limited, and SQ Group. Through his work at a large number of national and international companies and organisations, Shaheduzzaman has gained vast experience and exposure in the HR, administration, compliance-related activities, transparency and traceability in the supply chain management of the RMG sector.
As of yet, he has trained over 1,000+ mid-level managers and workers in the RMG sector. He was the lead trainer for BGMEA, SNV Netherlands and BILS for workers’ health sanitation & wellbeing in workplace laws & practices. He was also a lead trainer in the ADB funded SEIP project of the Government of Bangladesh. Through his work, he has developed a wide network amongst top and mid-level management of the RMG sector in Bangladesh.
After obtaining his Bachelor of Social Sciences degree from the National University of Bangladesh, Shaheduzzaman obtained a Diploma in Social Compliance from the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) in 2010. He also has a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Dhaka Polytecnic Institute. He has received Pedagogy Training in Adult Learning Program from the Institute of Technical Education, Singapore. He also has basic, advanced, and coach training on C3 training technique from GFA. In addition, he has completed a lead auditor course for the ISO Standard 45001(OSH).
