Mahmudur Rahman Chowdhury

Mahmudur Rahman Chowdhury is a Senior MEL Specialist at Innovision, with over 30 years of experience in the development sector. He has worked with national and international organizations, including UNDP, CARE, SNV Netherlands, Population Council and the BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health. His expertise spans critical areas such as integrated poverty reduction for marginalized communities, promoting women’s leadership and empowerment, migration, child protection, and implementing nutritional interventions, particularly in infant and young child feeding practices. He has also contributed to initiatives in water, sanitation, health, and hygiene (WASH).

Mahmudur is also engaged in consultancy work, playing pivotal roles in data collection, management, and analysis for donor-funded organizations such as the World Bank Group, UN Agencies, USAID, FCDO, SDC, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He specializes in statistical modeling and econometrics, with advanced proficiency in SPSS, STATA, SQL Server, and GIS tools. He has developed paperless monitoring systems using digital platforms like Kobo Toolbox and SurveyCTO.

Mahmudur holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University. He has further enhanced his expertise through international training in reproductive health, WASH, and poverty reduction. His professional experience spans multiple countries, including Kenya, Turkey, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand.
