Abdur Rob is an Economist as well as a Value Chain, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction expert with more than 30 years of experience. He has worked at senior positions with leadership, management, and consulting responsibility for programme development and implementation in the field of Making Market Works for the Poor (M4P), small enterprise development, micro-credit, agriculture, DR, climate change, adult education, and rural community development. In his long career, he formed effective partnerships with 60 NGOs, private sector businesses, and government departments such as fisheries, livestock, agriculture, and youth department in Bangladesh, India, Nepal and the Philippines. He is highly skilled and experienced in facilitating different types of training and events involving media, private sector, development sector and government sector stakeholders. As a team leader and lead consultant, he has assisted many national and international organisations including Swisscontact/Katalyst, UKAID, Char Livelihood Programme (CLP), UNDP, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs (MOWCA) and Government of Bangladesh to evaluate/assess impact and design markets and livelihoods projects.
