Position Title: Intern – Industrial Productivity and Workers’ Wellbeing (IPWW) Portfolio
Reports to: Portfolio Manager, Industrial Productivity and Workers’ Wellbeing (IPWW) Portfolio
Location: Head Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Type: Full-time
Position Summary
Innovision’s Industrial Productivity and Workers’ Wellbeing (IPWW) portfolio works with factories, brands, and development partners to improve productivity, workplace conditions, and worker wellbeing in the RMG and manufacturing sectors. The portfolio combines research, training, technical assistance, and project implementation to deliver practical, scalable solutions.
The Intern will support and independently contribute to project implementation, client communication, data-related tasks, and documentation under the IPWW portfolio. The role requires a high level of initiative, professionalism, and accountability, with opportunities to work directly with clients and industry stakeholders in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Client and Stakeholder Communication
- Independently communicate with clients, consultants, and partners through email and virtual meetings.
- Support coordination with factories, trainers, and development partners.
- Prepare meeting notes, follow-up actions, and basic presentations.
Data Collection, Management, and Analysis
- Support qualitative and quantitative data collection, including surveys, FGDs, and interviews.
- Clean, organise, and manage datasets using Excel, Google Sheets, and related tools.
- Support basic data analysis and summarisation for reports and presentations.
Project Implementation Support
- Assist in planning and coordinating training sessions, workshops, and field activities.
- Track activity progress against work plans and timelines.
- Support documentation of training delivery and field activities.
Reporting and Documentation
- Draft sections of reports, concept notes, case studies, and presentations.
- Support preparation of donor- and client-ready documentation.
- Maintain organised project files, trackers, and databases.
Portfolio and Business Development Support
- Support desk research for proposals and concept notes.
- Assist in preparing background materials for new assignments.
- Contribute insights and learning from field experience to strengthen portfolio offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree completed or final-year student in Economics, Business, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in RMG, manufacturing, worker wellbeing, productivity, or development work.
- Prior experience or strong exposure to data-related work, including research, surveys, or analysis.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
- Comfort and professionalism in communicating with clients and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
- Good analytical and data-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- High level of dedication, professionalism, and accountability.
- Willingness to learn and work in fast-paced project environments.
Additional Requirements (Not Mandatory)
- Previous internship or work experience in research, consulting, NGOs, or development projects.
- Exposure to RMG, manufacturing, labour, gender, or wellbeing-related work.
- Experience using qualitative or quantitative research tools.
