Innovision Shares Study Findings on the Agriculture Input Market in the Char Regions

On October 18, 2023, Innovision Consulting shared key findings from a study analyzing the agriculture input market in selected char regions in Bangladesh. This presentation was part of the “Unveiling Potential in the Char: Agro Input Opportunities” event by the Making Markets Work for the Jamuna, Padma, and Teesta Chars (M4C) project by Swisscontact Bangladesh.

 

 

After the presentation, Mr. Sadruddin Imran, Chairman and CEO of Innovision Consulting, moderated a panel discussion. Highlighting private sector success in char areas, the discussion focused on bio-pesticides and organic product utilization in adjacent markets. Mr. Imran emphasized the need for government support in logistics and storage, advocating collaboration between M4C and the private sector for sustained impact.

 

Innovision collaborated with the M4C project to assess the agriculture input market in selected char regions the Kurigram, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Jamalpur, Shatiatpur, Lalmonirhat districts, providing strategic recommendations for private sector expansion.

 

The event, attended by representatives from various sectors, featured notable figures such as MD Anwar Faruque, Former Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, and Advisor to the Bangladesh Seed Association; Md. Khurshid Iqbal Rezvi, Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Rural Development Academy (RDA), Bogura; and Mujibul (Cezanne) Hasan, Country Director of Swisscontact Bangladesh who emphasized the importance of collaboration for agricultural growth.
