On August 30, 2023, the Innovision Consulting team shared their findings from a study aimed at mapping financial and business development service (BDS) providers in Bangladesh. The presentation took place at the Hotel Holiday Inn Dhaka during a validation workshop.
Md Rubaiyath Sarwar, Managing Director and Lead Consultant of Innovision, along with Anik Muntasir Chowdhury, a Senior Associate in Innovision’s Inclusive Financial Solutions portfolio, delivered the keynote presentation. This was followed by an interactive discussion among attendees, which helped confirm the findings and provide context to the study.
In collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Bangladesh, Innovision has been working on identifying opportunities to support the development of CMSMEs, women entrepreneurs, and marginalized groups through strategic interventions.
The event drew representatives from regional trade associations, government agencies, private BDS providers, and development organizations. Nilufer Karim, CMSME Sector and Gender Expert at Innovision, also attended the event. Overall, the workshop served as a platform for sharing insights and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders which should help support the business development service provisioning ecosystem for CMSMEs in Bangladesh.
