Innovision Consulting has entered into a partnership with the Impact Investors Foundation (IIF) to lead a flagship initiative under the Nigerian Impact Investing Research Industry Collaborative (NIIRIC). This project will map the Nigerian impact investing ecosystem and conduct annual market sizing to support data-driven investment strategies for inclusive and sustainable growth.
As interest in impact investing continues to rise in Nigeria, the sector faces a critical gap in comprehensive and current data to guide investors, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers. This initiative aims to fill that gap by tracking capital flows, identifying key stakeholders, and analyzing market trends, gaps, and opportunities. The project will also benchmark Nigeria’s impact investment landscape against peer countries, including Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and Zambia, and will facilitate collaboration with global platforms such as the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) and the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE).
Innovision will lead the research and implementation, focusing on mapping the ecosystem across sectors and regions, analyzing investment flows since 2019, segmenting the market by geography, sector, and stage, and gathering insights through field visits, consultations, and validation workshops. The findings will be published in a comprehensive report and shared with stakeholders through national and regional platforms.
The agreement was officially signed on May 12, 2025. Representing IIF at the signing were Etemore Glover, Chief Executive Officer; Chizoba Ada Emmanuel-Awakessien, Chief Operating Officer; Kingsley Godwin, Programme Manager; and Temitope Oladele, Head of Finance. Iffat Mahmud, Director & Regional Representative, Innovision Africa, signed the agreement on behalf of Innovision Consulting.
This collaboration reinforces Innovision’s commitment to advancing inclusive finance and supporting ecosystems that enable sustainable development across Africa.
