Innovision Consulting and Daffodil International University Initiate Collaborative Partnership Discussions

On 7 August, a team of researchers and development practitioners from Innovision Consulting attended a strategic meeting at the Birulia campus of Daffodil International University (DIU) to explore opportunities for collaboration in research, knowledge generation, and donor engagement.

 

The meeting brought together senior leadership and faculty from DIU, including Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Dean of Academic Affairs; and other key academic staff. Innovision was represented by Kazi Shahed Hasan Ferdous, Country Director; Fatema Johora, Practice Area Lead; Tahmeed Rifa, Portfolio Manager (Acting) of Inclusive Financial Solutions; and Yeasir Arafat, Associate of Inclusive Financial Solutions.

 

 

The session opened with a presentation by Innovision showcasing the company’s expertise and proven experience in delivering innovative and inclusive development solutions. This was followed by a presentation from DIU highlighting the university’s strengths in research, project management, and multidisciplinary capabilities across healthcare, financial markets, and engineering.

 

Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir shared his vision of a future where universities work closely with the real world. He emphasized that universities must go beyond teaching to actively drive positive change in society.

 

 

During the discussion, participants identified several potential areas for collaboration. These included joint development of concept notes and funding proposals to engage donors in light of shifting funding priorities. The group also explored conducting short-term desk reviews to produce evidence-based research and co-publish knowledge products aimed at informing policy and practice.

 

The meeting concluded with remarks from Kazi Shahed Hasan Ferdous, who underscored the importance of proactive engagement in building strategic partnerships and pursuing collaborative opportunities.
