On the 28th of February 2024, Innovision Consulting and Abt Associates conducted a consultative meeting with the Directorate of Secondary & Higher Education (DSHE) to align the vision and strategy of the Feed the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activity with that of the DSHE. The goal was to establish a sustainable model for the project’s activities. This project aims to activate social behavioral changes through school activities and leadership programs conducted via adolescent clubs in 500 schools across five districts in Bangladesh.
During the meeting, Ashfaq Enayetullah of Abt Associates highlighted the project’s achievements over the past five years, with a specific focus on objectives such as improving nutrition, empowering women, and fostering community change.
Md. Rubaiyath Sarwar, Managing Director of Innovision Consulting, emphasized the necessity for DSHE’s endorsement, supervision, recognition, and adaptation to ensure scalability. He was accompanied by Dr. Anika Tahsin Khan, Team Leader, and Faria Mridha Nitisha, Private Sector Lead of the FtF BNA Project from Innovision.
Dr. Prabir Kumar Bhattacharjee, Director, Training Wing; Professor Md. Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury, Director of Administration from the College & Administration wing, along with other DSHE members, participated in the consultative meeting. DSHE affirmed its commitment to integrating the project into the existing curriculum and extracurricular activities, with a special emphasis on reaching remote areas and avoiding overburdening students. Suggestions included a thorough examination of the current curriculum, ensuring the accessibility of resources, and alignment with national agendas.
