INNOVISION SIGNS FOUR YEARS TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CONTRACT TO SUPPORT NIGERIA’S MALARIA ELIMINATION PROGRAMME

Over one million people die from malaria each year, mostly children under five years of age (UNICEF). Nigeria suffers the world’s greatest malaria burden, with approximately 51 million cases and 207,000 deaths reported annually (approximately 30 % of the total malaria burden in Africa). About 97 % of the total population (approximately 173 million) is at risk of infection (Dawaki, S; 2016).

The Support to National Malaria Programme (SuNMaP) Phase 2 is UKAid’s flagship programme in Nigeria which aims to reduce the malaria burden in Nigeria by 90% by 2030. Innovision Consulting will be providing technical advisory services to the programme to design and implement interventions that sustain the supply of malaria commodities for the targeted population. The programme is being implemented by Malaria Consortium. The Springfield Center and Abt Associates Britain are the other technical partners of the programme.
