Innovision Consulting and ShopUp Empower Women Entrepreneurs Through the Porshi Project

Innovision Consulting and ShopUp have conducted three training sessions under the Porshi Project, an initiative designed to empower aspiring women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. The project aims to transform women in semi-urban and rural areas into mobile micro-retailers, enabling them to earn sustainable incomes by facilitating last-mile order collection and delivery within their communities.

Supported by ShopUp’s B2B commerce platform, Mokam, these entrepreneurs gain access to an extensive product portfolio, helping them build stronger customer relationships and drive consistent earnings. Following the first training session in Rangpur, the dedicated field team has worked to train and onboard more Porshis. To date, over 93 Porshis have been onboarded, 81 have been trained, and 49 have already started placing orders.

The training sessions focus on digital and financial literacy, equipping participants with the skills to navigate the Porshi app, place and receive orders, manage stock, and understand credit limits. The sessions included engaging activities and ice-breaking exercises to create an interactive and supportive learning environment. Participants shared their personal aspirations, highlighting the impact of this initiative on their families and communities.

The initiative was attended by Mamun Rashid, President of ShopUp, and Rubaiyath Sarwar, Managing Director of Innovision Consulting, who supported the progress of the project.

Innovision Consulting and ShopUp remain committed to expanding the reach of the Porshi Project and continuing to support these women as they build their businesses. Further updates will be shared in due course.
